She goes out in 32 but comes home in 54
Yipps (My Baby Got The) is best remembered for the golfing stuff at the end, but actually, it takes over three minutes of keyboard noodling to get going. Very odd. Still, the Nicklaus and Norman references retrieve it from the rough eventually. Thanks to gnick and Jon

It doesn’t really matter, but I think I hear

I’d heard it as “I wrote to the mayor” and “I wrote to the Shah”.
Note to self: get ears syringed.

There is a book called “My Baby Got the Yips: Random thoughts of an Unprofessional Golfer” by Richard Russell (5 star review on amazon) that has the lyrics printed in the introduction.

last lines should be “Bruno sings your ultra sad chants”, a reference to the bruce willis album of the same era

Ultrasurs being a name used by the more vocal element of Real Madrid’s support, and Julio Iglesias being a former Real Madrid goalkeeper.

Not 100% sure about this but shouldn’t it be Ultras Sur?
They look like a bunch of numpties to me, but I certainly wouldn’t cross the road to tell them.

Never noticed this before but our Nige appears to have spelt ‘yips’ wrong. The accepted form seems to be one ‘p’ not two. Or is that just a song-writing yip? (or yipp?)
