ABOUT THIS SITE
This site is an archive of Ipswich Town match reports from 1998 to 2012 by Chris Rand, a season ticket holder in the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand, formerly the Greene King Stand, and for a lot longer before that, the Churchmans Stand. It's only a small selection of the games I've watched from 1968 onwards, including the glory seasons of the late seventies/early eighties, and the never-to-be-repeated exploits of 2000-2001 (which feature here). With the advent of the web, online forums and chatrooms, and Twitter, I'm not sure that my thoughts on the match posted several hours after the event are really that illuminating any more, so I've hung up my reporting boots as of the end of the 2011/12 season. However, you'll still find me on Twitter on matchdays and on the Debaser.org email discussion group. In the meantime, have a browse to bring back some memories, starting with today's random match report.
